FreePBX is the Den’s telephony — the management layer over Asterisk, the call engine beneath it — running natively on the Gateway VPS (Zone 1), no Docker. Together they are the Den’s phone system: extensions, routing, and calls placed through the system over SIP.

Asterisk records calls placed through the system — softphone, SIP, or desk phone. The enclave’s automation writes each call, and a link to its recording, into the personal CRM (Monica) as a relationship entry. Calls on a carrier’s native dialer never traverse the PBX and are out of scope.
