Every owned machine uses ECC memory — error-correcting RAM that catches and fixes the bit-level faults ordinary memory passes through silently. For a desktop that reboots daily it’s a nicety; for nodes that run for months under steady load, it’s the difference between a quiet correction and a corrupted dataset.

Capacity scales with the job: the cluster nodes carry enough to absorb each other’s workloads during a failover, and the standalone hosts carry enough to run dense, memory-hungry services. Per-node totals are in the Hardware Manifest.
